Aweber costs more, and even though it has gone through re-design recently, loses out to Mailchimp in ease of use. But if you’re willing to pay more money, you can always get their designer to work on a template, and undoubtedly the end result will be better than a Mailchimp design. AWeber is the better option for large companies and agencies, since they usually have a larger budget for email marketing. Many larger blogs that have been around for a while prefer it for its better customer service, and easier to use sign-up forms.
List Segmentation: I would have to say the number one feature is the ability to tag and segment subscribers based on their behavior. This allows you to follow up with leads based on the specific actions they take (or don’t take). For example can tag links inside emails so when your subscriber click on it you will know. You will have the power to create list segments based on any field in your database.
But generally I just leave it pretty much like this and you can choose one of the pre-approved subjects that they give you which is basically different variations of confirm your subscription. Or you can create a custom one and you have to wait a day or so for Aweber to approve it and then you can just say something like this, we received your request, thank you just have to confirm an order to receive. I've used quite a few other email platforms for mass emails and I have found that AWeber doesn't offer as much customization with creating emails. I like to create my own format for emails, and it's a little more difficult in AWeber than some other platforms. It's more of a basic service. I also am not impressed with the home page for the sole reason of not having the key things that I like to see when I first get to a landing page. This is more of a personal preference.

So then when people are about to unsubscribe it has a little description and maybe it’ll entice them to actually not unsubscribe when they remember what it is. And then from your address and your contact you want to make sure that’s all accurate and then a few want to receive notifications every time someone signs up, you can put your name and e-mail and you’ll be notified but if you plan a really big list you definitely don’t want this feature because you’re just be notified like multiple times a day. Then click on save settings and that will take you to step number two which is where you can brand your e-mails.

Nice money savers you mentioned here. But I’d like to mention, be careful when mass deleting the actively subscribed undeliverable. This search field is a bit flawed. I found my own test addressees in this search result when I searched my own aweber subscriber base. Apparently, if there has ever been an undeliverable email (which was the case when my web-host crashed my site in a routine update), said email address will show up in the search results. Make sure you click on each actively subscribed email address before you delete, and it will show whether the “undeliverable” was an isolated incident or a recurring phenomenon with said subscriber.
