**A couple of things to consider are that they do not have a reseller program. If you want to use it for multiple clients, you'll need to run everything out of your account and separate it by lists. Also their mobile app isn't much help. You'll be running everything through the web interface. Finally, you should have a working knowledge of html coding if you're going to use it. You don't have to code to use it, but if you want to tweak the look and feel of it like a designer, you'll need to code to dial in what you want.

It's really easy to click on the wrong thing when checking out and wind up with the report in your shopping cart. If do you wind up buying it by mistake or don't find it useful, AWeber promises to refund your money. So then when people are about to unsubscribe it has a little description and maybe it’ll entice them to actually not unsubscribe when they remember what it is. And then from your address and your contact you want to make sure that’s all accurate and then a few want to receive notifications every time someone signs up, you can put your name and e-mail and you’ll be notified but if you plan a really big list you definitely don’t want this feature because you’re just be notified like multiple times a day. Then click on save settings and that will take you to step number two which is where you can brand your e-mails.

Cons: Stay away! Their RSS campaign did not send out for a while and then on its own sent out 6 emails at once really pissing off our readers they offered us a discount of 30% if we signed a two year contract after I said it was an inexcusable mistake which cost me hundreds of dollars in unsubscribes and possibly thousands and pissed off my entire email list. 30% off their inflated high price which they had just boosted was not worth it - i have heard many experts and users tell me of Aweber nightmare stories since my experience. I would recommend mailchimp as an option for basic users, i would advice all to stay away from Aweber

Fantastic. I don't think i'll ever change autoresponder. I've tried GetResponse and others and they are also awesome, but I like the simplicity of Aweber so I don't really see why I would ever change.I've used Aweber since 2014, and i've NEVER had an issue with them. Sure, they have downtime just like every other autoresponder a couple times per year, but it's always fixed really quickly. The deliverability is awesome, it's extremely easy to use and their customer is support is insanely responsive. I have had to do a few minor changes to my account every now and then, I kid you not, they have taken care of my issues usually within 2-3 minutes of me opening up the chat (which is now open 24/7)

So once you have your accounts all set up and logged in, this is what you’ll see. Your first step is to click the create and manage list button. And what that will do, it’ll allow you to create a list of people that are actually going to receive your autoresponder sequence. So your next step is to click create a list. And by default Aweber gives you an ugly list name like this. Okay, so you want to make it something that’s branded and that you can remember. Something like Quicksprout2.
The idea behind autoresponders is that much of your email marketing gets automated – it’s a sort of ‘set and forget’ scenario that saves you the bother sending out e-newsletters manually (although you can still of course do this as and when required). Regardless of whether you plump for Aweber or Mailchimp, it’s well worth investing some time in understanding autoresponders and using them effectively.

Now you can do this with then the editor and that’s actually what I prefer, but if you want these branded things to be automatically added to your e-mails you can add your company name, the URL and a little signature that will go on every e-mail. And then under social media sharing if you want to also tweet that you just sent out a broadcast, you can do that. But I find that to be a little bit pushy so I generally don’t do that and most Internet marketers don’t do that.
I love AWeber, too. There have been some complaints from prominent marketers about AWeber and it has to do with the number of people you have on your list. The more people you have on your list the more money you are charged, but, that is true for all auto responder companies. This complaint had to do with poor service in accordance with the amount of money they were paying.

Okay this will determine when the e-mail goes out and in this case because it’s your first e-mail, it goes out immediately after the person confirms. Okay, so that’s automatic for the first e-mail and once that’s done click on save and exit. And you’ll get the message that your message has been saved and here is the first e-mail.

When you’re getting started, you’ll need to import your email subscriber list into your chosen service. Aweber has made this easy, by allowing you to import from a variety of spreadsheets or text formats, or even copy-pasting the emails from another app. You can then map the contact information with Aweber’s list fields, and specify where each subscriber is for so you can send the subscription confirmation email to the relevant ones.

We like that AWeber only has one price plan that changes based on the amount of subscribers. It makes it easy to pick the right one straight away, without having to check a long table to compare different offers with varying features. But unfortunately, AWeber isn’t our favourite email marketing solution, ranking rather low in our own table. Their features underwhelmed us, and the user experience is passable at best. Creating our test email worked fairly well. AWeber provides several design templates that were useful and adjustable, however it took more actions to edit it than it did with other online marketing software application. Also, the cursor track was very delicate, including further frustration to the production procedure. This was the only newsletter production program we evaluated with this issue.

However, Mailchimp offers a much bigger selection of integrations. It’s seen, for whatever reason, as more of an industry standard tool than Aweber, so some web applications - key examples being Squarespace and Shopify - will offer Mailchimp as a default ‘works out of the box’ e-marketing option. That's not to say that you can't use Aweber with these products, but there will be a bit more configuration required.
Have custom fields you’ve set up within your account? Collecting data for these fields and passing it into your account is no more complicated than collecting name and email. Custom list fields will appear right alongside the standard fields in your AWeber action. It’s as easy as selecting your list, and there they are. You can even add tags from within the action!
