It has a few usability issues which detract unnecessarily from an otherwise great product. For example, it's unnecessarily difficult to change the list assigned to a message. Images have to be added to messages using a URL rather than a simple upload. And there's no delay once the "send" button is hit, so it's impossible to "unsend" any messages with mistakes.
We like that AWeber only has one price plan that changes based on the amount of subscribers. It makes it easy to pick the right one straight away, without having to check a long table to compare different offers with varying features. But unfortunately, AWeber isn’t our favourite email marketing solution, ranking rather low in our own table. Their features underwhelmed us, and the user experience is passable at best. Still, if your mind is set on this company, here is their offer:

Yes, one of the more popular features they offer is their in-depth analytics. This allows you to see things like open rate and click-through rates. It also makes it easy to take action on your stats. For example, you can easily resend a newsletter to anyone who didn’t open the first email or create a segment based on people who clicked a specific link.
That’s the pitch I give on the podcast but, I really do feel like it’s more than just the software, just the tool. It is the heritage, the customer service, the team here. We have such an awesome team. We have over 100 employees here, right outside of Philadelphia, PA. Everyone here is just really dedicated to the success of our customers, but also the email marketing community. We do a lot, even outside of our customer base. But yeah, it’s all about our love for connecting you with your audience and helping you grow your business through email marketing, and through the inbox.
Tom: Yeah, that’s a great question. So, to be absolutely and totally transparent with your listeners and your viewers, I think, if you’re ready to start growing your list, and you have absolutely zero idea of how or if you’ll ever make any money whatsoever, AWeber may not be the best fit for you because we are a paid service. So, we have a free trial but after that, the base price is $19 a month. So, if you’re comfortable with using our Best In Class Tool Set, and paying $19 a month, by all means, that’s fantastic and you’ll reap the benefits of that. But, if you have no way of generating income through your marketing, on the back end, you might not see a return on your investment, if you’re not making at least $19 a month. I hope that your marketing efforts are generating at least $19 a month but, if you’re a hobbyist, if you’re just starting a blog, or starting a podcast for fun, and you want to connect with your audience, there are free tools and free ESPs, email service providers out there, that are totally competent, and will help you grow your list.
The best part about using aweber is it’s ease of use and ability to link with many other programs. They make it easy to keep track of your customers as well as automate a sequence of emails. I was able to get my investment in Aweber back within a couple months of using it. This may take more or less time depending on how big of a following your business has already.
Upon registering there’s a skippable initial video. AWeber has a bit more of a setup treatment than most ESPs; to obtain begun, you’ll need to fill out details including the business address you wish to feature on the bottom of e-mails, along with any customizations you want to make to AWeber’s basic opt-in verification message. As soon as you’ve finished those basic setups, you’ll be free to check out the program.
For me, an obvious alternative to both Mailchimp and Aweber is Getresponse. Depending on your list size, it will usually come in cheaper than both Mailchimp and Aweber (particularly if you pay upfront for a year or two years), and it’s feature packed (offering landing pages, webinars and a CRM tool in addition to the features outlined above). And it is much more flexible than either Mailchimp or Aweber when it comes to emailing segmented data and managing multiple lists.
More sophisticated split testing options are available in Mailchimp if you're prepared to pay for them - subscribers to Mailchimp's 'Pro Marketer' plan can test 8 variants of e-newsletters against each other. This is undoubtedly useful, but as this will cost you $199 per month on top of whatever you are paying to host your list, it's probably going to be a feature that only large organisations will avail of.
Besides templates, editing options and strong support, it can host or import email databases; allow autoresponder customization; responsive email design, RSS and email-to-blog functionality; tools to collect and add new names/emails to databases; the ability to integrate with some other programs, and the ability to easily view analytics and performance results.
GetApp’s ranking highlights the top 25 apps in different categories on GetApp. If an app is listed in more than one category, it has the potential to be ranked in each of these categories. The ranking is independent of any commercial campaign an app vendor has with GetApp. The ranking is based on 5 data points, each scored out of 20: reviews, integrations, mobile apps, media presence, and security.
Pros: AWeber provides a simple interface which is easy to manage, and they also provide a large array of tutorials to help make the learning process a bit easier. The templates they provide are also of grat value as well. Tracking subscriber behavior and data is a huge bonus to help improve your conversions. A free 30-day trial is always a huge bonus as well.

However, Mailchimp offers a much bigger selection of integrations. It’s seen, for whatever reason, as more of an industry standard tool than Aweber, so some web applications - key examples being Squarespace and Shopify - will offer Mailchimp as a default ‘works out of the box’ e-marketing option. That's not to say that you can't use Aweber with these products, but there will be a bit more configuration required.
This is usually given that will very reliable solution for anybody which will else or even otherwise will certainly oftimes finish up becoming straight directly inside to e-mail advertising plus marketing. This particular specific specific particular particular features the particular completely free associated with cost examine, as a result provide it the attempt
ActiveCampaign lets you easily create eye catching email campaigns to help you stay in touch with your contacts and customers. Their visual campaign builder lets you easily create automated marketing campaigns and send out targeted emails to your potential customers based on their personal interactions with your business and their integrated CRM lets you keep track of your leads and close more deals to grow your business.
Once you've sent your broadcast, you can track its success through the Reporting tool. For each campaign, you can see the open and click rate as well as the number of replies and unsubscribes. There's no Google Analytics integration, but there is a very helpful step-by-step guide on how to use Google Analytics on a Do-It-Yourself (DIY) basis with AWeber.
Tom: Yeah, totally. So, if you’re brand new to email marketing, or if you’ve begun to grow your email list using another email service provider, it’s really quite simple. You’ll use AWeber to manage your subscribers, manage your contacts. You can set up multiple lists to manage those subscribers, or you can have one list, and use what we call, “tags”, which I’m sure a lot of people are familiar with, to manage subscribers and preferences, based on tags. So, you have a bit of option there. First and foremost, it’s collecting and managing subscribers, but then, you can also leverage our core toolset, which is basically the autoresponder, or the automated email campaign sequence, you can develop campaigns, that’s what we call them here, to send automated emails out to those subscribers. Either fired off of tags, so they can trigger off of tags, they can trigger off of just the new subscriber being added to your list.
George: Well folks, you were this close to a ZZ Top edition of AWeber. Okay. Let’s go ahead and get into the content. Tom, I always love to start the show at a 50,000-foot view, where people can kind of wrap their arms around. If maybe they’re living under a rock and don’t know what AWeber is, why don’t you go ahead and take the time, just to explain really, what is AWeber?
One of its most popular capabilities is its Campaigns feature. It allows users to send auto-responders based on day and time, contact behavior and tags that have been assigned to database contacts. Through the tracking feature, users can keep tabs on where contacts are in the lifecycle of a campaign, as well as which emails and campaigns got the most activity or led to the most unsubscribes.
I've heard that if you open a new account with Aweber now, you need to use their service for around a month using double optin, which could be annoying. When I set my account up several years ago, I didn't have to do that. So if you're planning on running paid ads etc right away, that might be an issue for you. If not, Aweber is awesome and i'm sure you'll love it.

For example, say you're a Volkswagen dealer with a mailing list containing a field called 'car model.' You've used field this to segment your mailing list neatly into the owners of VW Polos, Golfs, Passats, Tiguans etc. You have a special offer which is relevant to Polo and Golf owners, and you want to send this message to those two segments in one go.
AWeber is an easy-to-use email marketing and marketing automation platform that’s designed to help small businesses and entrepreneurs send targeted and effective emails. Its drag-and-drop editor allows users to create newsletters and automated campaigns based on hundreds of HTML templates. In addition, AWeber lets business marketers integrate their email marketing accounts with various business apps, which allows information sharing among different departments.

Both Aweber and Getresponse have almost the same pricing structure if you closely analyze their pricing. You can get a lot of subscribers before you actually have to jump in heavily on the cost. But when it comes down to it, Getresponse pricing is lesser between Aweber vs. Getresponse. Aweber offers unlimited image hosting where Getresponse offers up to 1GB storage and you have to upgrade for additional storage.
I did not get many benefits and had a bad experience overall - i no longer care this happened months ago I am over it but since I am writing a review on software i have used, I would advise all honestly to stay away as my story seems far from unique and had other bad experiences which i don't have time to list - MailChimp is a pretty good alternative if you are checking out ESPs
It is important to realize that almost no service in the Email Marketing Software category is going to be an ideal solution able to meet all the requirements of different business types, sizes and industries. It may be a good idea to read a few AWeber reviews first as certain solutions can dominate exclusively in a really narrow group of applications or be created with a very specific type of industry in mind. Others may operate with an idea of being simple and intuitive and therefore lack complex elements desired by more experienced users. You can also come across apps that cater to a broad group of customers and provide a rich feature toolbox, however this in most cases comes at a more expensive price of such a service. Be certain that you're aware of your needs so that you get a software that offers all the features you look for.
Pros: Aweber is great tool for beginners and for those who are in marketing fields. The app provides you with great email marketing services with many features. The drag and drop feature is for email design templates and the feature is intuitive and really helpful. The design you create helps you to get even more subscribers. You can easily customize the subscription forms and even the amount of third party app. I have to say that their customer service is exceptional.
Make sure subscribers never miss a thing with one-time broadcast emails like newsletters and product promos. Mobile-ready templates enable users to send on-brand email newsletters to the entire contact list. Blog broadcasts extend the business's blog’s reach by automatically converting the latest posts into emails. Users can schedule broadcasts to send immediately after publishing, at a custom time or after a group of posts have been published.

**A couple of things to consider are that they do not have a reseller program. If you want to use it for multiple clients, you'll need to run everything out of your account and separate it by lists. Also their mobile app isn't much help. You'll be running everything through the web interface. Finally, you should have a working knowledge of html coding if you're going to use it. You don't have to code to use it, but if you want to tweak the look and feel of it like a designer, you'll need to code to dial in what you want.

Importing or in any way using purchased leads with an AWeber account is strictly prohibited. If you paid money or in any way purchased a group of pre-existing leads these may not be used with AWeber. This includes co-registration services, "safe lists" or any type of free leads given to you. Only people that have specifically requested information directly from you may be emailed through AWeber.
You must have a good deal of room to grow with AWeber. You can start out with simple functions and move into more complex locations as you acquire self-confidence and the needs of your business broaden. If you like what you have actually checked out here, I ‘d suggest you provide AWeber’s complimentary trial a drop in if it appears like a good fit for your business.
Change: Convert AWeber error messages into more friendly strings Change: ninja_forms_aweber_subscribe_error_message filter parameters to $new_message, $error_code, $error_message, $subscriber, $list_id Add: ninja_forms_aweber_show_errors filter to surpress errors of certain types or for certain forms so the form will still be submitted Add: NF_AWEBER_DEBUG constant for reverting back to AWeber messages
