When you are ready to take advantage of email automation, and take advantage of some of the segmentation tools that AWeber has, then I think it’s definitely a great opportunity to pay that $19 a month, and to get into what some of those can offer, to help you monetize your hobby, or monetize your passion, or monetize the beginnings of your business. So I’d say that’s who we’re not for. We are also not for you know, if you are looking for an enterprise CRM or enterprise marketing automation suite, something that can handle billions and billions of subscribers, and multiple automation triggers and flows, and these complex funnels that people like to build, those tool sets tend to quickly get a little confusing to the average marketer, who isn’t ready for that.
That’s the pitch I give on the podcast but, I really do feel like it’s more than just the software, just the tool. It is the heritage, the customer service, the team here. We have such an awesome team. We have over 100 employees here, right outside of Philadelphia, PA. Everyone here is just really dedicated to the success of our customers, but also the email marketing community. We do a lot, even outside of our customer base. But yeah, it’s all about our love for connecting you with your audience and helping you grow your business through email marketing, and through the inbox.
Once that’s done you’ll see that your second autoresponder e-mails here and if you want you can always change the settings by clicking the edit button and if you want to switch them around you just drag one to the top of the other and it’ll automatically switch them. Then if you want to add more click copy and change the contents within the e-mail and do the same thing. So that’s all there is to setting up an autoresponder within Aweber. Creating our test email worked fairly well. AWeber provides several design templates that were useful and adjustable, however it took more actions to edit it than it did with other online marketing software application. Also, the cursor track was very delicate, including further frustration to the production procedure. This was the only newsletter production program we evaluated with this issue.
You can also segment your lists based upon subscriber activity like emails opened, links clicked, and more. Plus, you can use traditional segmentation options as well, like gender, age, birthdays, and more. For large blogs covering a variety of topics, it may make sense to let subscribers sign up for updates based on the topic(s) they’re most interested in.
The main aspects of the product that would nudge me in Aweber's direction are its ease-of-use and comprehensive support. The latter may be particularly important for some potential users, particularly those starting out in e-marketing without a truckload of technical skills (you probably won’t get stuck, but if you do, you can talk to a real human being on a real phone line about your problem).
Overall: Capterra was a completely foreign name to me until I did extensive research on the products, philosophy and services offered. There are more than four hundred software programs, this was the big statement that really drew me in to learn more. Whether you run a non profit, or a church, or a restaurant the software program list is endless and accesible. I'm sure if you had a lemonade stand you would be able to find the product you needed. Navigating the site is easy as well and they don't try to push other products onto you. The customer service is amazing as well and really focuses on customer satisfaction which in turn makes people repeat customers and word of mouth starts spreading so more people can learn about the company. Okay, now if you want a success page which is not necessarily required but if you want a page that you sent people to after they confirm that banks them or give some the report that they may have signed up for, you can put the URL here. But that’s not necessarily something you have to do. I’m going to click on save settings. Once you’ve done that your list is actually all set up and now it’s time to create your autoresponder sequence.
Aweber search offers many features that we can use to find out more information about people in our Emailing list like who is not opening your Email, Email last opened; link clicked or not and many other features. Along with it, you can see people who have unsubscribed but still a part of your list, and you have to manually clear them to cut down the Aweber pricing on the next bill.

The ranking is independent of any commercial campaign an app vendor has with GetApp. The ranking is based on 5 data points, each scored out of 20: reviews, integrations, mobile apps, media presence, and security.
When it comes to creating campaigns, AWeber offers a slightly different mechanism than similar marketing systems. You can use it to create follow-up series and autoresponders, and build your own, personalized messages with a handy drag-and-drop tool. Premade templates are available, but users are encouraged to design their own, more business-specific ones.
AWeber is great for crafting monthly newsletter and deal updates for small businesses. We have an amazing graphics department that creates all the images for us marketers so that all we have to do is drag and drop the pieces in. We also have created text emails from scratch as well as having AWeber create a custom template for us. All of this has helped our customers get their message across to their userbase.
Tom: Yeah so, the two most popular prices that we see is, $19 a month, which we talked about earlier. That’s gonna cover you up to 500 subscribers. Then, the next popular tier is $29 a month, which will cover you up to 2500 subscribers. It scales based on a number of subscribers that you have after that. So, those are kind of our cost to entry pricing tiers that we have. One of the really nice things that I appreciate working here at AWeber, it certainly makes conversations a lot easier, is that all of our services, and all of our tools, are offered for everyone. There’s no tiers based on features and based on the toolset.
The legacy follow-up series is an autoresponder. This is a fundamental part of building a relationship with your list. With this message type, you’ll create a series of emails your subscriber receives once they join your list. (Research by Experian and many other firms, shows that a “welcome series” –as these campaigns are commonly called — typically receives substantially higher open and click-through than other email campaign types.)
Marketing automation works in a similar way to autoresponders, in that emails are automatically sent to a mailing list according to a predefined sequence.
