It is important to realize that almost no service in the Email Marketing Software category is going to be an ideal solution able to meet all the requirements of different business types, sizes and industries. It may be a good idea to read a few AWeber reviews first as certain solutions can dominate exclusively in a really narrow group of applications or be created with a very specific type of industry in mind. Others may operate with an idea of being simple and intuitive and therefore lack complex elements desired by more experienced users. You can also come across apps that cater to a broad group of customers and provide a rich feature toolbox, however this in most cases comes at a more expensive price of such a service. Be certain that you're aware of your needs so that you get a software that offers all the features you look for.

I remember these guys from over 10 years ago when I started as a freelance web developer. They have always had their finger on the pulse of online marketing and understand, almost better than any other competitor out there, how to convert leads and continue to deliver a sales message properly. You can learn a lot from this company and gain more knowledge from their blog and knowledge base articles than you can from most websites that discuss e-commerce.
I've been using Aweber since the very beginning of my online business about 7-8 years ago. It integrates well with other services to make an automated flow of things. I love the segmentation I can do. Just the overall ease of using it. Oh, and their customer service is INCREDIBLE. Probably one of my favorite features. There is someone live to chat with within seconds to help you. Incredible support, no waiting.
As of this writing, Gmail, Yahoo!, AOL, Zendesk, rocketmail.com, and ymail.com have changed their DMARC authentication standards to a DMARC = reject policy. Based on this information, Gmail, Yahoo!, AOL, Zendesk, rocketmail.com, and ymail.com email addresses cannot be used as your list's "From" address. Once these new standards are adopted, any email campaigns sent with those email addresses in the "From" line will require that AWeber send your campaigns from an alternate email address.
This is not an AWeber-specific issue, these changes impact anyone using an email service provider with a sender address from Gmail, Yahoo!, AOL, Zendesk, rocketmail.com, and ymail.com. So if you use ANY third-party mailing service (such as AWeber or any of our competitors) to send emails for you on behalf they will also need to change the "From" address you send with or your emails will not be delivered.

Okay, something like that and you can give it a little description like Quicksprout newsletter. So then when people are about to unsubscribe it has a little description and maybe it’ll entice them to actually not unsubscribe when they remember what it is. And then from your address and your contact you want to make sure that’s all accurate and then a few want to receive notifications every time someone signs up, you can put your name and e-mail and you’ll be notified but if you plan a really big list you definitely don’t want this feature because you’re just be notified like multiple times a day. Then click on save settings and that will take you to step number two which is where you can brand your e-mails.
When I talked about this with their support they suggested that if I wanted co-registration they can setup for me and all I needed to do was to fire an email to AWeber co-registration system for each user who register at my website with the details of the user. AWeber would have a custom parser for the email and add the user to my list automatically.
George: So, I love it because this is literally what happened people, is that I set the ball up, and he was gonna spike it, and he kind of tapped it. It hit the top of the net, and he saw that it was wobbling back and forth, I was like, “I’m not sure if we’re gonna win this game.”, and then you said one thing, Tom. And I was like, “He just spiked the ball.” That was, that Tom mentioned education, that they’re always creating content, that they have live support, that they’re there to help, and so that was super awesome. Now, as I’ve traveled through the interwebs, there are two types of people that I’ve found. There are those people who, they just get it. Like, they’re technically savvy. And then there are those folks that well, not so much. So, as a first time user to AWeber, what are some of the problems, or a problem that I might run into that will kind of perplex me, and what have you guys done internally, to try to not have that moment happen?
Because of its history, AWeber should appeal to a very wide group of users. Someone who has never used an automated email service will enjoy the basic interface, while someone who may not have used one for years may still be able to know how it all works. If you're looking for an easy simple way to manage your newsletter distribution and subscriber list, then AWeber is the tool you should use.
More sophisticated split testing options are available in Mailchimp if you're prepared to pay for them - subscribers to Mailchimp's 'Pro Marketer' plan can test 8 variants of e-newsletters against each other. This is undoubtedly useful, but as this will cost you $199 per month on top of whatever you are paying to host your list, it's probably going to be a feature that only large organisations will avail of.
List management. It's easy to upload lists and add new subscribers. It is easy to clean up the lists as well. It serves well if you're looking a way to send out simple emails for a large list. It's also nice to be able to switch between multiple lists to see only the emails that have been sent to a certain list. In other platforms, this has been an issue.

And then under global text snippets this is more an advanced feature and if you’re going to be making a lot of changes to something from your business like if you have different hours or different offers, this is something you might want to incorporate. But if you’re just going to have a basic autoresponder sequence with helpful information, this isn’t something that you want to do. Then click on save settings…
I REALLY wish they would improve the place where you compose the emails. I know that MAJOR email marketers have requested they change it / made suggestions but they do nothing. It should be easy to cut and paste text written in another document and keep the formatting but it's not. I constantly have to go through my emails and do hard returns on each line to get the spacing correct. If you want to have a big margin on the side of your text (meaning about a 3 inch text area), it should be easy to do that. Overall, composing an email in there should be easier. I stick with them because it's an even bigger hassle to switch to someone else. How hard is it really to fix these things?
Pros: I've been using Aweber since the very beginning of my online business about 7-8 years ago. It integrates well with other services to make an automated flow of things. AWeber has a lot to provide, especially for companies which frequently use autoresponders. The autoresponder series established was among the most intuitive and easiest I’ve ever seen … and of course, once your series is set up, you can enable it to run in the background with no further actions on your part. The WYSIWYG editor has some great functions and current updates have actually enhanced the email style experience significantly. The analytics and reporting abilities are an action above par, as is AWeber’s variety of integrations.
George: All right so, One Last Tool viewers and listeners, there was integrations there was marketing automation, drip campaigns, there’s tagging, which equals segmentation, there are newsletters and one-offs, and hopefully, hopefully, listeners and viewers, you’re not sitting there going, “Hey, maybe I should do that someday.” No, you should probably have started to put forms on your site and generate an email list, I don’t know, as soon as you opened the doors to your digital business. But, we’re not judging you, we’re just giving you the information today on this podcast.

People share their opinions about companies on Twitter each and every day. We monitor tweets about AWeber and apply a sentiment analysis algorithm that classifies these tweets as positive or negative. Every review is from a real person opinion. We use this information and output an approval rating score, which is based on real people, positive and negative, opinions about AWeber on Twitter
Tom: Yeah, absolutely. So, I’m not gonna list all of our competitors. I think most people know who the most popular email service provers are out there. A few of them have been around as long as we have been, right? So, I think most people will know who those competitors are so, I’m not gonna dump a bunch of names. What you mentioned earlier, I thought was a good point, is that some email service providers that you’ve might have just begun using, they were practically created yesterday so, this is a very competitive space where there are new players popping up, it seems almost every six months. Also, a lot of tools that you might use, they bolt on an email component so, there’ll be a tool that provides this feature or functionality and then they’ll say, “Oh by the way, we’re gonna start doing email so you can use our tool to send emails as well.” Even WordPress, there are WordPress plugins that let you basically do some form of email marketing using your WordPress host. Like, whatever you’re using to host with WordPress. All of those solutions have pros and cons. What I would recommend when evaluating AWeber, what you’re gonna get is, somebody who is fully dedicated to just email.
Ecommerce Platforms is a review site that shows the good, great, bad, and ugly of online store building software. We strive to provide easy to read reviews that will help you choose which ecommerce platform is right for you. We maintain an affiliate relationship with some of the products reviewed as well, which means we get a percentage of a sale if you click over from our site (at no cost to our readers). Feel free to follow us on Twitter, comment, question, contact and ENJOY.
Examples include a welcome email sent as soon as a new client signs up to your list of contacts, followed a few days later by an informatory email discussing the products and services you offer, then an email informing on current offers, and so on. You could also create different series of post-purchase emails, based on the type of product the individual purchased.
Then you can do it all again. AWeber lets you build as many lists as you want, each with their own emails, forms, templates, subscribers, and stats. You can switch between lists from the menu in AWeber's top toolbar—or get a quick glance at the stats on all of your lists from your dashboard. You can also quickly send a new email anytime from the prominent Create a Message button in the dashboard.
Send time optimisation is a sophisticated feature which automatically sends your e-newsletter at the time at which it is most likely to be opened. This time is calculated by Mailchimp based on looking at when the subscribers on your list have previously opened mail - it can work this out based on looking at the campaigns you’ve previously sent and also by using data from campaigns sent by other Mailchimp users which feature email addresses that are also present on your list.

I've tried various email services multiple times, but I feel the most drawn to Aweber. I like the ease of their email editor. I also like how easy it is to change the order of my legacy follow-up series by simply dragging & dropping the emails in whatever order I wish on the fly. Yes, Aweber is a little more expensive than some other platforms, but I'd rather pay a bit more for something that fits my needs than to be irritated all the time.I've used various email marketing platforms, and I find Aweber's email editor the easiest to use. It's simple and easy, as it should be. I don't feel like I'm fighting with it to get to work properly, and it makes writing and structuring emails the way I want a piece of cake.

But, what we’ve recently done, which we found some success with, is we give you access to all of those emails, on day one. So, we’ll email you and then we’ll give you access to access all the emails that you will be getting in the future. If you’re just like, “I get that, that’s the first thing you want me to do but, it’s not the first thing I want to do on my AWeber account.” So, we take a very step by step approach for new customers but, we also give you, kind of this ala carte, get access to all the content that you need for onboarding, at once, so that you can choose your own adventure. We can kind of empower you to make those decisions.
This is among the couple of newsletter creators that Aweber demoused complimentary images, a terrific tool for dressing up your e-mail without spending for stock images. However, we were not pleased with the image-editing tool. We could add our own images quickly enough, however when we resized an image using the AWeber tool, it blurred the image, and the blurred image showed up in all of our sent messages. Aside from these problems, however, email personalization and the editing function worked well.

When a new customer purchases your products or services, you need to follow up promptly to make the experience a positive one. This Zapier integration sends your WooCommerce new sign-ups directly into your AWeber email marketing system. That way, you can send them automated emails to onboard them, let them know about training sessions or promotions, and more.
