Plus, have you seen emails from MailChimp? I wouldn’t choose this autoresponder for that reason alone.

AWeber customers pay monthly subscription fees based on the size of their email audience. This is a surprisingly simple and refreshing formula, especially in a culture when many competitors offer extra tools, extra templates and extra support only for those at the higher service levels. This “pay more/get more” approach also encourages the “bare bones” customers to consider upgrading so they can better access full premium services. But with AWeber, everyone gets access to everything, although the total amount of tools available is fewer than some competitors.
Aweber believes in the importance of making sure you confirm the intent of your subscriber before they are added to your list. You can rest assured that you will have a higher quality of subscriber because they take the time to read their email confirmation message and click on a special link that activates their subscription. This way, if they are added to your list it is because they were serious about joining in the first place – instead of just being added to one of your lists by selecting a checkbox and paying little mind to it (as is the case with many web sites).
Mailchimp is better if you’re just starting out, and looking to setup an email list without committing a budget to it. They focus more on user-friendly designs and options, so apart from their sign-up form HTML requirement you don’t need to be tech-savvy to get started with the service. Mailchimp also offers multiple integrations, so you can import contacts in from different services. However, the service is probably not a good option if you have any plans of including affiliate links in your email marketing.

I did not get many benefits and had a bad experience overall - i no longer care this happened months ago I am over it but since I am writing a review on software i have used, I would advise all honestly to stay away as my story seems far from unique and had other bad experiences which i don't have time to list - MailChimp is a pretty good alternative if you are checking out ESPs

Hi Ana, I’m currently using Aweber and I have recently noticed that most of the big “gurus” have been using iContact – My understanding is that you can import your existing list directly to iContact without a double opt-in all over again. All this on a “honor” system but if the spam complaints go about “the” threshold – your iContact account could get shutdown.
This software application was the slowest for filling customers one at a time or by importing a list. Plan extra time for contacts to be processed, especially if you have a large list. You can not segment lists, although you can tag contacts and use those tags to send out projects to different subscribers. You can create a sign-up type quickly. It used templates and the ability to add custom-made fields.
Anna, I really appreciate your Aweber review. I wish I could say my experience has been the same. I find it hard to navigate and even harder to understand. I dread the thought of having to login to my account to do anything. I would really like to see more video’s and tutorials, especially on list building., and why can’t I just email my contacts the old way using aweber? You’re talking to somone who has been totally clueless to autoreponders. I’m wondering is there any hope for me (lol)

The drag and drop feature is for email design templates and the feature is intuitive and really helpful. The design you create helps you to get even more subscribers.
