Cons: I've heard that if you open a new account with Aweber now, you need to use their service for around a month using double optin, which could be annoying. When I set my account up several years ago, I didn't have to do that. So if you're planning on running paid ads etc right away, that might be an issue for you. If not, Aweber is awesome and i'm sure you'll love it.
Aweber offers advanced tracking of each email you send which allows you to determine if your sales offers or follow up content are not appealing to people. This can be useful in understanding what content should be removed, or even added, so as time moves forward you can convert a higher rate of click throughs in your follow up email campaigns and close more sales.
People share their opinions about companies on Twitter each and every day. We monitor tweets about AWeber and apply a sentiment analysis algorithm that classifies these tweets as positive or negative. Every review is from a real person opinion. We use this information and output an approval rating score, which is based on real people, positive and negative, opinions about AWeber on Twitter
GetApp’s ranking highlights the top 25 apps in different categories on GetApp. If an app is listed in more than one category, it has the potential to be ranked in each of these categories. The ranking is independent of any commercial campaign an app vendor has with GetApp. The ranking is based on 5 data points, each scored out of 20: reviews, integrations, mobile apps, media presence, and security.
AWeber is all about hand-holding. There are numerous video tutorials to help you figure out what to do, and almost every field or option to fill out has a link that opens up the relevant help text. Unfortunately, live help is very limited. Phone and chat support options are only available during business hours. If you want the option to call at any time, you'll want to choose a service other than AWeber. Campaigner, for example, offers 24/7 phone support.
For example, say you're a Volkswagen dealer with a mailing list containing a field called 'car model.' You've used field this to segment your mailing list neatly into the owners of VW Polos, Golfs, Passats, Tiguans etc. You have a special offer which is relevant to Polo and Golf owners, and you want to send this message to those two segments in one go.
I did not get many benefits and had a bad experience overall - i no longer care this happened months ago I am over it but since I am writing a review on software i have used, I would advise all honestly to stay away as my story seems far from unique and had other bad experiences which i don't have time to list - MailChimp is a pretty good alternative if you are checking out ESPs
If your business is looking for more conversions, auto-responders play a good role. There are many tools for autoresponders that includes MailChimp, GetResponse to name a few. But there is one tool that is more popular and easy to use when it comes to creating autoresponders. That tool is AWeber and it is really efficient when it comes to email marketing services.
AWeber is a very popular marketing solution even for the most hardcore of email marketers. The platform comes with superior autoresponders that make customer engagement and interaction easier than before. The system also boasts with advanced options for integration, including leading business tools and systems such as Zendesk, Salesforce, WordPress, PayPal, LeadPages, and WordPress, to name a few.
Examples include a welcome email sent as soon as a new client signs up to your list of contacts, followed a few days later by an informatory email discussing the products and services you offer, then an email informing on current offers, and so on. You could also create different series of post-purchase emails, based on the type of product the individual purchased.
I've tried various email services multiple times, but I feel the most drawn to Aweber. I like the ease of their email editor. I also like how easy it is to change the order of my legacy follow-up series by simply dragging & dropping the emails in whatever order I wish on the fly. Yes, Aweber is a little more expensive than some other platforms, but I'd rather pay a bit more for something that fits my needs than to be irritated all the time.
This is not an AWeber-specific issue, these changes impact anyone using an email service provider with a sender address from Gmail, Yahoo!, AOL, Zendesk, rocketmail.com, and ymail.com. So if you use ANY third-party mailing service (such as AWeber or any of our competitors) to send emails for you on behalf they will also need to change the "From" address you send with or your emails will not be delivered.

What is so important about API’s? Well, if you ever go to sell a product/service…EVERYTHING. If you sell a product, it is so much easier to use a system which automatically adds the people to an email list, without them having to re-enter their name/email to be able to proceed. You usually see this with a “Step 2 of completing Your Order” page and it has an optin form.
AWeber Systems exercises no control whatsoever over the content of the information passing through AWeber Systems. All leads (email addresses) generated by subscriber are held strictly confidential. The leads are never released to any other parties for any purpose. The lead information is only used on AWeber Systems' servers to deliver the follow up messages designated by the subscriber.

For me, an obvious alternative to both Mailchimp and Aweber is Getresponse. Depending on your list size, it will usually come in cheaper than both Mailchimp and Aweber (particularly if you pay upfront for a year or two years), and it’s feature packed (offering landing pages, webinars and a CRM tool in addition to the features outlined above). And it is much more flexible than either Mailchimp or Aweber when it comes to emailing segmented data and managing multiple lists.
The program is designed to offer a variety of automated email management tools small- to medium-sized businesses, generally up to about 25,000 subscribers. According to Capterra, it is trusted by over 100,000 small businesses and entrepreneurs. So it can be useful for a small operation that wants to reach a few hundred supporters to slightly larger organizations that may have multiple messages that need to reach multiple audiences. According to Zapier, AWeber is a great tool to use if you’re wanting to grow your subscriber list.
MailChimp pricing structure works in little increments and offers more in between payment options so there is more, you pay for what you want style pricing. Most people opt for Mailchimp seeing that it has a free version available, but that is not very viable because it lacks a very important feature, the autoresponders. So with each month, you find yourself adding more money while upgrading to get the basic or advanced autoresponders service, while Aweber can provide you those features without the additional payment. So Aweber pricing looks more competitive than Mailchimp.
Make sure subscribers never miss a thing with one-time broadcast emails like newsletters and product promos. Mobile-ready templates enable users to send on-brand email newsletters to the entire contact list. Blog broadcasts extend the business's blog’s reach by automatically converting the latest posts into emails. Users can schedule broadcasts to send immediately after publishing, at a custom time or after a group of posts have been published.
Copying and pasting contact information from one platform to another is a waste of precious resources. By connecting AWeber with Zapier, you can automatically add subscribers to your email list—no matter where you get their information from. You can also organize contact information any way you like by exporting new AWeber subscribers to your favorite database.
