Okay, so you’ll be surprised that even though it looks good right here you can get some funky looking e-mails in real life and in an actual e-mail inbox and especially links can be wrong sometimes. So you definitely want to test every e-mail before officially adding it to your autoresponder sequence. But if you go to check your e-mail and everything looks good, click on back, then click on settings. Okay this will determine when the e-mail goes out and in this case because it’s your first e-mail, it goes out immediately after the person confirms. Okay, so that’s automatic for the first e-mail and once that’s done click on save and exit. And you’ll get the message that your message has been saved and here is the first e-mail.
This software application was the slowest for filling customers one at a time or by importing a list. Plan extra time for contacts to be processed, especially if you have a large list. You can not segment lists, although you can tag contacts and use those tags to send out projects to different subscribers. You can create a sign-up type quickly. It used templates and the ability to add custom-made fields.
Six tabs along the top of the screen direct you to Home, Messages, Customers, Sign Up Forms, Reports, and List Options. Some of these have drop-down choices. Links to My Lists, My Apps, and Assist, along with My Account, can be found in the upper right-hand corner. Your web page is an account introduction which displays brand-new customers, set up and just recently sent out messages, and list stats
AWeber offers a mix of basic features (such as file import) with advanced features (creating your own email templates) in an easy-to-navigate user interface (UI). AWeber's extensive reporting tools and user segmentation abilities make it a solid performer, one you would do well to consider for your business. With more extensive live support options and more information about things that went wrong, AWeber could have been a top-tier service on par with our Editors' Choices for email marketing tools, Campaigner and .
Now you can do this with then the editor and that’s actually what I prefer, but if you want these branded things to be automatically added to your e-mails you can add your company name, the URL and a little signature that will go on every e-mail. And then under social media sharing if you want to also tweet that you just sent out a broadcast, you can do that. But I find that to be a little bit pushy so I generally don’t do that and most Internet marketers don’t do that.
Mailchimp is better if you’re just starting out, and looking to setup an email list without committing a budget to it. They focus more on user-friendly designs and options, so apart from their sign-up form HTML requirement you don’t need to be tech-savvy to get started with the service. Mailchimp also offers multiple integrations, so you can import contacts in from different services. However, the service is probably not a good option if you have any plans of including affiliate links in your email marketing.
Anna, I really appreciate your Aweber review. I wish I could say my experience has been the same. I find it hard to navigate and even harder to understand. I dread the thought of having to login to my account to do anything. I would really like to see more video’s and tutorials, especially on list building., and why can’t I just email my contacts the old way using aweber? You’re talking to somone who has been totally clueless to autoreponders. I’m wondering is there any hope for me (lol)
For example, say you're a Volkswagen dealer with a mailing list containing a field called 'car model.' You've used field this to segment your mailing list neatly into the owners of VW Polos, Golfs, Passats, Tiguans etc. You have a special offer which is relevant to Polo and Golf owners, and you want to send this message to those two segments in one go.
AWeber is all about hand-holding. There are numerous video tutorials to help you figure out what to do, and almost every field or option to fill out has a link that opens up the relevant help text. Unfortunately, live help is very limited. Phone and chat support options are only available during business hours. If you want the option to call at any time, you'll want to choose a service other than AWeber. Campaigner, for example, offers 24/7 phone support.
The primary weak point I see is the price-point where small business are worried. If you do not require all of AWeber’s bells and whistles, there’s no need to pay for them. You’ll also want to make sure that if you are attempting to cancel your account, you’re not just unintentionally suspending it. This is specifically essential where the totally free trial is worried, as AWeber requires your credit card information.
Pros: I've been using Aweber for close to 10 years on and off. I've tried other similar programs such as Mail Chimp and Infusionsoft, but have always come back to Aweber as my autoresponder of choice. I know some of this may have to do with the fact that I learned their system first, but I also think they have a very simple interface and the layout seems logical to me.
I've been using Aweber since the very beginning of my online business about 7-8 years ago. It integrates well with other services to make an automated flow of things. I love the segmentation I can do. Just the overall ease of using it. Oh, and their customer service is INCREDIBLE. Probably one of my favorite features. There is someone live to chat with within seconds to help you. Incredible support, no waiting.
I did not get many benefits and had a bad experience overall - i no longer care this happened months ago I am over it but since I am writing a review on software i have used, I would advise all honestly to stay away as my story seems far from unique and had other bad experiences which i don't have time to list - MailChimp is a pretty good alternative if you are checking out ESPsIt is relatively easy to use its not hard to figure out for most beginners and has basic templates and campaigns which should

Now obviously you want more than one e-mail and your autoresponder sequence and in my experience, the easiest way to add them as not to click create another follow-up, it’s just a copy the one that you already have. Okay, so just click copy and this will copy this template that you already set up for your next e-mail. Okay and this actually obviously copies the exact e-mail so you want to change the subject line. So three mistakes cake bakers make. Something like that, whatever your autoresponder happens to be about and then he added your content just like you would.
I use this while working as a consultant for others with online business. I usually recommend it to those just starting to gain several hundred people to their email list. In part due to it's ease of use, functionality, overall compatibility, and affordability for smaller lists where volume of emails is important. In conclusion It can be a great alternative to others if you have a smaller list that requires daily emails.
