Yeah, I could probably pay a coder to write an app that allows their API to be single optin, etc, but why? I’d still want to have the ability to add people manually and have them automatically sign into my list. For example, I’m going to start doing some seminars locally. I want to be able to come home and add the 25 people to my email list…easily.
When your list goes above 2000, and you decide to move to another AR service, you will get an unpleasant surprise. Mailing lists are not directly transferable from one AR service to another. You basically have to start over, and get all of your subscribers to re-subscribe. That process will guarantee the loss of at least half of your list, and probably much more than half. If you are thinking about moving, the time is NOW, because the larger your list gets, the more painful the move will be.

So once it’s all set up, hover over messages and click on follow-up series. Next click on the create your first follow-up button and when you do you’ll be taken to the Aweber message editor and now going to walk you through the most important part of the editor and how to use them. This will be a plugin that you can put into your website and will pop up either when visited or when they click on a specific link. This is a surprisingly simple and refreshing formula, especially in a culture when many competitors offer extra tools, extra templates and extra support only for those at the higher service levels. This “pay more/get more” approach also encourages the “bare bones” customers to consider upgrading so they can better access full premium services. But with AWeber, everyone gets access to everything, although the total amount of tools available is fewer than some competitors.
So, I’m very transparent when I tell people as well that, we don’t don’t have a landing page service. We don’t create landing pages because that’s not our focus. Our focus is just email. We are focused on giving you the best tools and resources to send amazing, beautiful email automated or one time broadcasts, and we integrate with 50 fantastic landing page providers, who will do it better than we will do it anyways. I think that you’ll get transparency, you’ll get a company that focuses on doing what we do really, really well, and not trying to bolt on or do too, too much outside of that, customer service is fantastic. Everyone here is in the same office, so we talk together, we hang out, they know our product really, really well, the marketers here know our product really, really well, and then education.
I don’t plan to use Aweber with my new blog – at least not for the first few months, but thanks for the review. I might go with Mailchimp (I used to use it before, plus Mailchimp offers lot more features now – segmenting, reporting etc) or perhaps Benchmark email (heard about this service recently, still considering it), and switch over the Aweber once I have setup at least one source of income 😀
George: So, I love it because this is literally what happened people, is that I set the ball up, and he was gonna spike it, and he kind of tapped it. It hit the top of the net, and he saw that it was wobbling back and forth, I was like, “I’m not sure if we’re gonna win this game.”, and then you said one thing, Tom. And I was like, “He just spiked the ball.” That was, that Tom mentioned education, that they’re always creating content, that they have live support, that they’re there to help, and so that was super awesome. Now, as I’ve traveled through the interwebs, there are two types of people that I’ve found. There are those people who, they just get it. Like, they’re technically savvy. And then there are those folks that well, not so much. So, as a first time user to AWeber, what are some of the problems, or a problem that I might run into that will kind of perplex me, and what have you guys done internally, to try to not have that moment happen?
Anna, I really appreciate your Aweber review. I wish I could say my experience has been the same. I find it hard to navigate and even harder to understand. I dread the thought of having to login to my account to do anything. I would really like to see more video’s and tutorials, especially on list building., and why can’t I just email my contacts the old way using aweber? I've tried various email services multiple times, but I feel the most drawn to Aweber. I like the ease of their email editor. I also like how easy it is to change the order of my legacy follow-up series by simply dragging & dropping the emails in whatever order I wish on the fly. Yes, Aweber is a little more expensive than some other platforms, but I'd rather pay a bit more for something that fits my needs than to be irritated all the time.
